In laser screed operation scenarios, the automatic leveling function is the core function for ensuring ground construction accuracy and improving work efficiency. This function relies on the coordinated operation of the laser transmitting and receiving system and the hydraulic lifting system to automatically correct the height deviation of the leveling head, achieving precise ground leveling. For construction personnel, mastering the button coordination logic and accuracy verification techniques of the automatic leveling function is crucial to avoiding construction errors and ensuring project quality standards are met.

The normal activation of the automatic leveling function requires proper installation and commissioning of the equipment beforehand, including basic operations such as assembling the leveling head, connecting oil pipes and wiring, and installing and calibrating the laser emitter and receiver (all of which must be completed according to the standard procedures of Huaang laser leveling machines). After the basic preparation work is completed, the construction personnel must focus on the precision of button coordination, which is the core prerequisite for the stable operation of the automatic leveling function. The operation of the automatic leveling function of the Huaang laser leveling machine revolves around the coordinated operation of key buttons such as the manual/automatic button, the coarse scraping button, and the lifting button. The timing, sequence, and force of each button operation directly affect the leveling effect and must be strictly followed according to the equipment operation specifications.

In the button operation phase, the first step is to start the equipment and complete the initial preparations. After starting the machine, adjust the throttle to a suitable level (press and hold the throttle button and pull upwards to increase the throttle, ensuring stable power output). Once the machine is running smoothly, proceed with the automatic leveling button operations. First, activate the manual/automatic button. Pressing this button will automatically activate the laser receiving system, putting the equipment into automatic laser leveling mode. At this time, the laser receiver will capture the red light signal emitted by the laser emitter in real time and synchronously transmit height deviation data to the control system. Note that before activating the manual/automatic button, ensure the laser emitter is running normally (red light rotating) and the laser receiver is installed correctly (not reversed, screws tightened, wiring secure) to avoid automatic leveling failure due to abnormal signal transmission.

After activating the automatic leveling mode, the initial preparation of ash application must be completed using the coarse scraping button. Pressing the coarse scraping button will automatically synchronize the left and right hydraulic cylinders, raising the leveling head to approximately 2 cm above the set elevation. The core purpose of this operation is to facilitate subsequent ash application, preventing excessive friction between the leveling head and the ground that could lead to uneven ash accumulation, and also to allow adjustment space for subsequent precise leveling. During this process, the operator must observe the leveling head's lifting and lowering status. If asynchronous lifting and lowering of the two hydraulic cylinders is observed, the coarse scraping button and the manual/automatic button must be immediately turned off. The lifting button must be checked for proper functioning, and the hydraulic pipe connections must be checked for leaks. The operation should be repeated only after troubleshooting.

Elevation calibration is a crucial prerequisite for the accurate operation of the automatic leveling function and must be closely coordinated with button operation. After elevation calibration is completed (i.e., the digital receiver screen displays 0 and the laser receiver shows a green light), preliminary debugging must be performed using button operation to verify the response accuracy of the automatic leveling function. The specific operation involves simultaneously pressing and holding the left and right lifting buttons to slowly raise the hydraulic cylinders. Observe the indicator light on the laser receiver; normally, it will illuminate yellow, indicating that the leveling head height has deviated from the set elevation and the equipment has detected the deviation. At this point, there's no need to manually adjust the lifting buttons. Simply press the manual/automatic button, and the equipment control system will automatically receive the deviation signal transmitted from the laser receiver, driving the left and right hydraulic cylinders to precisely raise and lower, correcting the leveling head height deviation until the laser receiver illuminates a green light, indicating that the leveling head has returned to the set elevation and the automatic leveling adjustment is complete.

Special attention should be paid to avoiding two major operational pitfalls during button operation: First, avoid activating the automatic leveling function before the laser receiver is calibrated (before the green light illuminates), otherwise the equipment will use an incorrect elevation as a benchmark for leveling, causing large-scale construction errors. Second, avoid frequently switching between manual/automatic modes and repeatedly pressing the coarse scraping button, as frequent operation will cause lag in the response of the hydraulic and control systems, affecting leveling accuracy. Construction personnel must maintain a smooth button operation, allowing 3-5 seconds for the equipment to respond after each button press, observing the indicator light status and the leveling head's movement before proceeding to the next step.

The accuracy verification of the automatic leveling function is the last line of defense to ensure construction quality and must be carried out throughout the entire operation process. It is mainly divided into two stages: preliminary debugging and verification, and final verification before operation. Both require the use of specialized tools and button operation. Preliminary debugging and verification are mainly conducted after elevation calibration and automatic leveling debugging. The operation procedure is as follows: Press the manual/automatic button to activate the automatic leveling mode, push the gear lever to control the machine to move forward slowly, and observe the status of the laser receiver indicator light. The green light must remain constantly lit throughout the process. If a red light appears during operation (the leveling head needs to be raised) or a yellow light appears (the leveling head needs to be lowered), stop the machine immediately, press the manual/automatic button to deactivate the automatic mode, manually fine-tune using the raising and lowering buttons, and then restart the automatic mode verification until the indicator light remains consistently green during equipment operation.

The final accuracy verification before operation requires the use of a handheld lever and a digital receiver, combined with button operation, to complete a comprehensive test to ensure no accuracy deviation. The specific operating steps are as follows: Install the digital receiver on the handheld lever, ensuring the screws are tightened and the connection is secure. Place the handheld lever at three key positions on the left, middle, and right of the leveling head vibrating plate, and observe the values displayed on the digital receiver screen at each position. All values must stably display 0. If the value at any position deviates from 0, press the manual/automatic button to turn off the automatic mode, fine-tune the leveling head height using the lifting button, and then turn the automatic mode back on to re-detect until all three values are 0. Simultaneously, dynamic accuracy verification is required. Control the machine to move forward slowly, repeatedly measuring the height of both sides of the vibrating plate with the handheld lever while simultaneously observing the laser receiver indicator light. Ensure the indicator light is consistently green and the digital receiver value is consistently 0. Only after verification can the operation officially begin.

Furthermore, in long-term practical operation, construction personnel must also master emergency handling techniques for accuracy anomalies and quickly troubleshoot problems using button operations. If, after activating the automatic leveling function, the laser receiver indicator light flashes frequently, fails to maintain a stable green light, or the digital receiver value fluctuates significantly, the following procedure should be followed: First, turn off the manual/automatic and coarse scraping buttons. Check if the laser emitter is level (observe if the water droplets on the tripod are within the circle), if the laser receiver is securely installed, and if the wiring connections are loose. After confirming everything is correct, reactivate the manual/automatic button, press the lifting button to fine-tune the leveling head height, and then verify the accuracy. If the problem persists, turn off the main power supply, check if the oil pipes are connected incorrectly, and if the hydraulic cylinders are lifting and lowering normally. After troubleshooting, try operating the machine again.

In summary, the core of operating the automatic leveling function of the Huaang laser leveling machine lies in accurately controlling the sequence and timing of button presses and implementing a comprehensive accuracy verification process. Construction personnel must be proficient in the coordinated operation logic of the manual/automatic keys, coarse scraping keys, and lifting keys, strictly follow the practical operation process of "calibration-adjustment-verification," avoid operational errors, and accurately address accuracy anomalies in order to fully leverage the advantages of the automatic leveling function, ensure that the ground leveling accuracy meets construction requirements, improve work efficiency and project quality, and provide a guarantee for the standardization and precision of laser leveling machine construction operations.
